The Thai Language Program is based on communicative teaching and learning practices. The Thai Language Program is a three-level, part-time program designed for international students who wish to learn the Thai language for everyday use.
If you’re an international student, this program will help you learn everyday Thai language skills for success in living in or working in Thailand.

At BHLS we provide our students with:
Elementary Level: 120 hours of lessons + online self study – length: 3 months and 3 weeks
Intermediate Level: 150 hours of lessons + online self study – length: 4 months and 3 weeks
Advanced Level: 190 hours of lessons + online self study – length: 6 months
Please note: Students will be placed into one of the levels depending on the results of a placement test that will ensure the student is in the correct language level.
In this course, students will learn basic Thai as they explore all aspects of the Thai language, focusing mainly on conversational, grammar and vocabulary through group and class discussion and exercises. Emphasis is on practical everyday Thai and communication skills.
This level is for non-native speakers, who have no proficiency with the Thai language skills.
Objectives
The main focus of the course is to learn and improve intermediate level grammar through in-class exercises and pair and group work to practice the Thai orally. There are reading assignments that emphasize new vocabulary and a section is devoted to learning and practicing pronunciation. The ultimate goal of the course is to improve fluency and accuracy in Thai.
This course is for non-native speakers of Thai who want to improve their language skills.
Objectives
This course focuses on the Thai skills necessary to listen, speak, read and write effectively in the workplace to apply standard grammar structures and develop and improve pronunciation skills.
This level is for non-native speakers who are semi-proficient in Thai language skills and wish to improve their Thai skills for their workplace or have completed the Intermediate Level course.
